Timothy Bean has more than 20 years of global executive experience building deep tech businesses that have revolutionized telecommunications and internet security. September 11, 2001, was a day that deeply affected Tim. Since that time, Tim has been passionate to build tech businesses to promote a safer and more secure world.

Shortly after 9/11, Tim worked closely with law enforcement and allies of the USA to deliver signal intelligence solutions to find and stop thousands of criminals and terrorists. At Fortem, founded in 2016 by Tim and Adam Robertson, they are protecting critical venues, campuses, and cities from terrorist drone attacks and creating safe air corridors to support advanced air mobility solutions around the globe.
Tim began his career as a software engineer working on mission-critical systems at Aspect Communications. He grew with the company to eventually lead all software development of products generating over $500M in annual revenue.

Tim is a frequent speaker at international counter terror and airspace security events and has appeared on Nippon TV, NBC News and other media outlets. He is widely quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, CNN and The Atlantic. Tim is a member the Security Industry Association, advisor to multiple small technology businesses, and is an active board member of 47G Utah’s Aerospace and Defense Association.

Born and raised near Cleveland, Ohio, Tim is married with kids and remains a passionate Cleveland sports fan, where he’s been trying to convert his family to root for his hometown teams for more years than he’s willing to admit.
