Stan Summers was born on 5-6-65 (which Stan thinks is cool!), he grew up on a dairy farm and is a class of ’83 graduate of Bear River High School where he played all sports and got his first taste of government as the senior class president. He played football for Utah State University, and then went the entrepreneurship route starting his first business at age 19. He has always had at least two jobs, and sometimes three or four.
Born and raised in Box Elder County (BEC), He is supported by his wife, Jen, of 32 years and son Talon (30) and daughter, Jandi (26) and her husband Matt Fielding and their three boys. Stan learned from a young age on his family’s dairy farm that hard work is the formula for success. He has carried that hard work philosophy with him through all of his life.
Stan has served as Box Elder County Commissioner and the Commission Chairperson. He has the privilege of being one of a select few to be elected to a third consecutive term (each term consists of 4 years) as Commissioner. He has served as the Utah Association of Counties President. He has been an Honorary Commander at Hill Air Force Base, USACC President, Chair of BRAG (Bear River Associate of Government).
He is keeping himself in the national spotlight currently serving as 1 of 5 elected members of the NADO board, and has visited President Donald Trump in his spare time. He has five licensed Patents at Northrup Gruman. Stan is a published author and an award winning poet. He has coached little league soccer, baseball, and basketball. He loves family, God and Country, old cars and trucks, sports, and hunting.
