47G is excited to announce the appointment of James Taylor, as the Executive Director of the 47G institute! James has managed multiple industry initiatives throughout his career LSI and has secured billions of dollars of federal grant funding for his clients. “James Taylor’s extensive industry experience and expertise make him a perfect fit to lead the Institute during this pivotal period of growth and change,” said Aaron Starks, President and CEO of 47G. “I have known James for many years and have been impressed by his ability to successfully oversee complex initiatives that directly benefit Utah’s aerospace and defense companies. I am confident that under his leadership the 47G Institute will continue to help Utah’s economy thrive.”
James’ appointment comes following the departure of Tulinda Larsen as Director of the 47G Institute, and her transition to the board of directors. Under her stewardship, UAAMI (now the 47G Insitute) secured millions of dollars in grant funding for Utah manufacturing and mineral companies and played a critical role in expanding the industry. “Tulinda’s impact on the advancement of a mineral and manufacturing ecosystem has blessed the state and its economy and will continue to do so for years to come,” said Starks.
